The watch comes on a double albert with a swivel fob with both bloodstone and carnelian. Olssons was founded in 1904 and Fritz Olsson was well known for carrying large amounts of cash around in order to make purchases… this would have made him a possible robbery victim but he was also known to carry a fully loaded revolver. The dial is signed Fritz Olsson, Luleå, Imp, the original retailer of the watch. The white enamel dial has some very faint short hairline cracks, just about visible with a magnifying loupe. There are a previous owner’s initials to the cartouche on the case back. The case is in good condition, just a little rubbing to the rose gold wash. There are Swiss hallmarks inside both of the case backs, together with an early Omega logo. The watch has a galonne case which is 800 silver with a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the back of the watch. The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The inside of the cover has a sunburst pattern, a good sign of quality as it was an extra expense that would rarely been seen.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is signed with the Omega name, and has images of medals won at the Paris 1900 Grand Prix trade show. There is also a brevet (patent) number of 8760 which relates to an 1895 patent by Louis Brandt, founder of Omega. The serial number is underneath the dial and it reads 2779818 which dates it back to around 1905.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. An early 20th Century Omega pocket watch.
